Manatee are often surrounded by bream, snapper and other enterprising fish at Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, Three Sisters Springs. It is unclear if the manatee ever receive any benefit from these associations, but most manatee can tolerate the fishes' attention for some time while basking in the warmth of the spring outflows. The camera used was a Nikon d300, housed in a Subal underwater housing with dome port, wide-angle fisheye zoom lens.
